The "14- hours -with- no -power- or- heat" edition
(we had another "winter weather event" this week)
* living near my parents, who have gas heaters (so we could camp out there until our heat was back) (Thanks, Mom!)
* electricity
* hot water
* tea kettles (for making hot drinks when the Keurig is unusable)
* a warm house
* living inside the main power grid (means we're usually the first to get our power back on)
* internet access
* candles, flash lights, batteries
* books
* warm beds and a good night's sleep
