2013 in Review

1: What did you do in 2012 that you’d never done before?  I  can't think of anything

2: Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?  I didn't set any goals last year, but I have made some for this year. 

3: Did anyone close to you give birth?  nope

4: Did anyone close to you die? our dog, Jack

5: What countries did you visit? none

6: What would you like to have in 2014 that you lacked in 2013?  

7: What dates from 2012 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?  October 5- the night Jack died

8: What was your biggest achievement of the year?   It wasn't my achievement, but my son, C, graduated from high school

9: What was your biggest failure? I fail everyday... it's simply a matter of asking forgiveness if necessary, moving on, and trying harder next time

10: Did you suffer illness or injury?  We were all sick with the flu for the whole month of December- other than that it was a healthy year

11: What was the best thing you bought?  Henry, our new poodle

12: Whose behavior merited celebration? 

13: Whose behavior made you appalled?  

14: Where did most of your money go?  vet, daily living, Henry

15: What did you get really, really, really excited about?  

16: What song will always remind you of 2012?  Awake My Soul- Mumford & Sons

17: Compared to this time last year, are you: (a) happier or sadder? (b) thinner or fatter? (c) richer or poorer?   Last year was a hard year, so I'd have to say (a) happier.  (b) about the same (c) also about the same

18: What do you wish you’d done more of?  had more fun- we didn't have any vacations or special activities this year 

19: What do you wish you’d done less of?  being distracted, procrastinating, worrying

20: How did you spend Christmas?  at home with my sick children; had xmas dinner at my parents' house

21: Did you fall in love in 2012? Does my dog count?  If so, then yes.

22: What was your favorite TV program? Community

23: Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?  I don't hate anyone

24: What was the best book you read?  Mrs. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children & Allegient 

25: What was your greatest musical discovery?  Mumford & Sons! 

26: What did you want and get?  a healthy, mostly uneventful year; a new puppy-Henry

27: What did you want and not get?  Jack's recovery

28: What was your favorite film of this year?  I loved The Hobbit 2 and Catching Fire

29: What one thing made your year immeasurably more satisfying?  having more to do

30: How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?   same as always- cheap and comfy

31: What kept you sane?  only the grace of God

32: Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?  Benedict Cumberbatch's voice

33: What political issue stirred you the most? no idea- I hate politics 

34: Who did you miss?  Jack & Hazel

35: Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2012...Life is short, and fragile, and should be appreciated every day- even on the bad ones
