(You can find my WIPcalypse goals here.)
I sorted all the thread and gridded the fabric for my next project. I haven't started it yet, though.
I made a little progress on my MST3K silhouette. I did all of Crow's head and part of the next theater seat.
I finished the Monarchs kit by Bucilla!
You can see that I didn't remove the gridding before taking this photo. ;)
I was hoping to be finished with this ornament by check-in time, but I didn't make it. I came very close, though!
April 15 – Topic: How do you keep your stash organized?
I don't really have a huge stash, and I tend to only work on one or two projects at a time, so organization isn't a big problem for me.
I have a craft room with a big closet that holds all of my various craft supplies.
There are built-in shelves in the closet. I keep all the kits and things I'm not currently using stacked on those shelves.
I keep all of the cross-stich things I'm currently working on in a big basket next to my recliner. That includes my project bag, my TUSAL jar, my pin cushion / scissors holder, and my boxes of thread.
Here is the pin cushion. It's from Wal-Mart. I love it because it holds your scissors and other things besides pins and needles.
This is actually my daughter's pin cushion, but mine is exactly like it.
I have a bag that I keep all of my current projects in. It's a cheap Wal-Mart travel bag for make-up and toiletries.
My biggest Q-Snap fits in the front pocket. It won't zip all the way, but it still holds it secure.
There are two zippered pockets for holding all my thread and other accessories. You can also put a good bit of stuff in the center.
I currently have 3 projects in it.
I keep all of my thread on cardboard bobbins, and I keep the bobbins in clear plastic boxes with row dividers in it. I have 4 boxes full at the moment.
And I do believe that covers everything!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Happy stitching! :)

Congrats on the finish ... it's a stunner!
ReplyDeleteThe butterfly piece is just gorgeous! Good for you for not having too much stash -- it's so easy to do down that road!
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching projects. I like the way you have your kit set up in the make-up bag.
