* 10/5/13- our dog, Jack, passed away (not exactly a highlight, but the most memorable thing about this month)
* sick with allergies almost the whole month
*  10/29/13- brought Henry home!
* brought Jd & L trick-or-treating around the track in a neighboring town; Halloween in our town got rained out the next day
