Weekly Roundup

In My World This Week:

* I haven't been blogging very much lately.  

The last two weeks have been hard.

We were grieving the loss of our dog, Jack.

I was also sick with sinus/allergy problems.

* But things are going better now.
After trying quite a few different ones, I finally found an

allergy medication that works for me. Thank God!

I tried all the less expensive ones before giving in to try Allegra.

It costs a good bit more, but it works, so it's worth the money.

* Also, the weather has been gorgeous.  

It's so nice to get a break from the heat.

It finally feels like fall.

I don't know how long the cool weather will last,

it quite possibly may be back in the upper 80s soon.

That's Louisiana for you.  Ha!

So we're enjoying it while we can.

* I've been on a classic horror movie kick this week.

I like "scary" suspenseful movies, but I can't stand gore.

Because of that I tend to stick to the old black and white movies.  lol

There are a lot of good ones on YouTube.

* We'll be getting our new puppy next week!

I'm so excited!

We've been debating names.  

I don't know if it's the final decision, but for now

his name is Amos.  :)

* We found a great deal at the Salvation Army last week.

My mom found a bunch of action figures- 

$5 for a gallon sized bag.

She bought two for my son, Jd.  

They were good toys in very good condition.

Most are from Marvel.

Just one new action figure costs about $10- so this was a good deal.

She said there were more bags, so we went back for the rest.

This picture is just part of them.  

After I took the picture I found a Wal-mart bag

full of more of them.

My son has been playing with them constantly -

and all for less than the price of one video game.

That's what I call a deal!

10/21- Awesome movie! I took the boys to see it today. M. said it was boring but C. and I loved it. — watching Gravity.
10/20- Oh great! My crockpot cracked. I guess it's time for a new one.
10/16- L made her delicious apple walnut cake for us tonight. It's sooo good! 
10/14- Saw a knock off Iron Man costume today. It was called Machine Man. lol
-Also @ walmart I saw a costume with the name misspelled as "Dark Angle." I wish I'd taken a picture.
