Currently

Well, we've made it through the first two weeks of school.  Everything is going smoothly. 

 I was expecting a few complaints because of new subjects I added, but I didn't get a single one. 

 I'm so relieved (and proud of my children).  

I don't have any photos to share this week because we didn't do anything very interesting.  

We celebrated public school's  "Back to School" Monday by going to the movies (I'm such a rebel- heh). 

I took my youngest two children to see "Planes."  

 My dad came with us.   He's like a big kid.  He loves cartoon movies.  :)

Other than that, our week was fairly uneventful.  

I plan on having a quiet weekend. 

I'm participating in the International Hermit and Stitch Weekend for the first time.  

My goal is to finish my poppy cross-stitch,  and if I do that then I'll work on my summer sampler.

 I want to finish because  I'm ready to start something new!   

 I took a "before" picture of my project- hopefully I'll have a finished product for Monday.  

I'll also participating in the week-long Bout of Books Read-a-Thon.  It starts Monday.

My goal is to finish the book I'm currently reading,  start and finish another one.

I know two books doesn't seem like much, but I don't have a whole lot of free time during the week.

hearing:  zydeco music on my radio,  my son cutting the grass

eating:  nothing at the moment... I had cinnamon toast for lunch, and I'm not sure yet what we'll have for supper

drinking: Sam's Choice bottled water

wearing:  jeans and a Doctor Who t-shirt

feeling:  mostly good- my allergies are acting up, but that's nothing unusual

weather:  Gorgeous!  It's sunny and breezy.  It almost feels like fall!  It's still 90 degrees, but because of the breeze it's nice in the shade.  Unfortunately, there is a "disturbance in the gulf."  We may have to deal with a hurricane next week.  I'm hoping, praying, and keeping my fingers crossed that it won't come this way!

wanting:  Mexican food!

needing:  to clean my house, but I don't plan on doing it this weekend!  

thinking:  about this weekend 

enjoying:   today's breezy weather!

watching: still Dark Shadows - currently on episode 979

playing: nothing- I haven't been interested in  gaming recently

making:  working on my Poppy cross stitch. I hope to finish it this weekend.
