I finished the last square on the first row, back-stitched the entire first row, and started on the next row.
This pattern did not call for back stitching, but to me, cross stitch just isn't finished without back-stitching. It gives dimension and looks more polished, in my opinion.
I hung up some of my older cross-stitches and embroideries.
I have a few more scattered throughout the house, but these are my most recent ones.
They've been sitting in my closet for a few months. It was time to get them out and displayed.
I made most of these.
My mom made the one on the upper left and she painted the quilt star on the bottom row.
My son made the one on the bottom right. He was six at the time.
I made the second one on the bottom row earlier this year. It took me two months.
The star on top was started about ten years ago, and I just finished it this year! lol
The other two were made two or three years ago.
I didn't make any index cards or work on the blanket this week.
