Today was a very nice day.  

The boys and I went boat riding.  They have their own boat now, so we're able to go out any time we want now instead of having to wait for my husband to be able to take us.

 We only saw one alligator.  It was sunning on someone's deck!  Can you imagine walking into your back yard and finding an alligator?   I would love to live on the bayou, but I don't think I'd like dealing with alligators.  Ha.

After that, I barbecued hamburgers for the kids while watching the younger ones play in the sprinkler.   I fixed their plates and they ate supper outside, under the gazebo.

Our central air conditioner stopped working last night (thankfully we also have window units, so we didn't suffer too much).  There were a number of things that went wrong.  The boys fixed it while I was barbecuing.  

Have I mentioned how much I appreciate my boys?  They are 16 and 17 years old, and they take care of things when my husband's away at work.  I don't know what I'd do without them.  

At the end of the day I was hot and sweaty from cooking and C was hot from having to work on the a/c in the attic.  We were thrilled when it started raining.  We stood in the rain and cooled off.  It felt so good!  I even laid down in the back yard and let it soak me!  I probably looked like a lunatic, but it was an amazing experience.

If only everyday could be as nice!  Unfortunately duty calls and I must  spend tomorrow decluttering and cleaning our living room. So not fun, but I've been putting it off for way too long.

It is starting to rain again and I am very sleepy, so I am signing off for now.
