It's Friday, Friday!

(My apologies- I couldn't think of a better title).

Today was a good day.  I spent most of the day with my mom.  We brought our dogs to the groomer, then did some shopping and had a delicious lunch while we waited for the dogs.  

I ended up with a great haul from a local flea market.  I bought six albums, a vintage Holly Hobbie book, and a purple and gold bag (to use for craft storage and toting).

Later, my daughter made a cake for me (from scratch) for Mother's Day.  It was apple, cinnamon, and walnut.  It was scrumptious!  She's only thirteen, but she's an excellent baker.  :)

Then my husband came home from work early, and he made supper.  We had a nice evening with the kids.

I also did some art journaling.  After creating a horrid page, I added some gesso, stencils, and lots more layers and ended up with a background I really love.  Now all I need to do is decide what I'm going to write on it.

It's supposed to storm again all night and most of tomorrow.  I love stormy weather.  If nothing interferes, I plan on curling up with a good book for most of it.
